NOTICES

 Our lost property is increasing by the day, and unfortunately nothing is labelled. Please ensure your child's name is written on all clothing so we can get items back to you.

Swimming lessons for our Y3's have now started and will be every Friday from 2-3 for the rest of the school year. Please remember to send in your child's swimming kit each week

School Council

We have a School Council which meets on a Thursday lunchtime. The council is made up of members from each classroom who are elected by the others in their class.  Miss Pounder is supporting the School Council this year. 
They work hard throughout the year to think of innovative ways to improve school life. They run projects, for example to provide more football nets, and have set up a scheme to promote active playground games.
 

Eco Council

We have an Eco Council which meets on a Friday lunchtime. The council is made up of children from year 2 through to 6.  They work hard through the year raising awareness of eco issues, recycling and monitoring the schools energy and water usage.

Knitting Club

There is a knitting club every Monday lunchtime in Lions Classroom.

 

 Choir 

Mrs Garside runs a weekly choir session on a Tuesday lunchtime. 

 

Homework club

We have a homework club every Wednesday during lunchtime. 

 

 

After school clubs starting from September 2016

Bookings and payment for all after school clubs should be made directly to the provider listed. Children will be allocated a place on a first-come, first-served basis.

Creative Dance

This is a fun, relaxed, creative class where children are introduced to all types of dance styles and music with a mixture of themes. The children will gain in confidence as they explore movement and choreography, working together as a team to create performance pieces. This club is suitable for all ages.

 

Art For All

Children will get the opportunity to explore all types of art and crafts from painting, colouring, sticking, cardboard building, sequin art, origami etc..

Sessions will be age appropriate; Younger children will develop greater hand eye co-ordination and dexterity through using scissors, pencils, crayons and paints. Older children will have the opportunity to learn about texture, colour blending and perspective through varied mediums in a relaxed informal environment. This club is suitable for all ages.

 

Street Dance

This is a highly energetic class which is very popular with both boys and girls. Children will learn how to warm up their bodies and stretch in a safe way through a repetitive warm up routine to their favourite pop tunes. They have the opportunity to learn some simple floor work break dance moves and perform a brand new dance routine every term. This club is suitable for Year 2 – 6 children.
