Parents and friends of Kirk Smeaton C of E Primary School

We are very blessed to have an active and supportive group of parents and friends, who work throughout the school year, organising a wide variety of events and raising invaluable funds for our school and its pupils.

The objectives of the Association are:

  • To develop more extended relationship between the staff, parents and others associated with the school;
  • To engage in activities which support the school and the education of the pupils attending it;
  • To provide and assist in the provision of facilities for the school; and
  • To encourage parents and friends to support the school and school activities, as well as cultural, social and recreations activities among pupils, parents and teachers.
  • Create awareness to the new school lottery system https://www.yourschoollottery.co.uk/

In the past year parents and friends have funded;

- Books for reluctant readers

- Playground lines for all play areas

- PA system

- Christmas presents for all children in school

- Drama theatre groups to show Easter and Christmas productions

- New goal posts

- Decorating the KS2 corridor
